First start falls through

I wanted to start at the beginning of October. But this start also fell through. Because: on my wonderful and speedy stage ride in southern Italy with a group of passionate racing cyclists, I slipped off with my rear wheel in a probably gravely and damp bend and hit my left thigh and couldn’t get up again.

Luckily nothing was broken – but I suffered brutal bruising and bruising. That meant a month’s break, while it was still so wonderfully warm here in autumn and my buddies continued to pedal endless kilometers that I would have loved to have been a part of.

These are opportunities to mentally adjust to situations like this and flip the switch to the positive aspects. Resilience will probably be of crucial importance to me on many more occasions.
